Scott and Shelley Van Bibber
Senior Pastor and Worship Director
Pastor Scott K. Van Bibber has been the pastor at Baytown First for five years. He has pastored in Oklahoma, Texas, North Carolina, Arizona, and California. Scott and Shelley have known each other since their junior high days in Denver. They married in 1972 while students at Bethany Nazarene College (now Southern Nazarene University). They celebrated 51 years of marriage in January of 2023.
Scott and Shelley have two sons, Kris and Kyle. Kris lives with his wife, Natasha, and their two sons in Goonellebah, Australia. Kyle lives with his wife, Kristy, and three sons and a daughter daughter-in-law in Eastern, North Carolina. Kyle and Kristy's oldest son and daughter-in-law have a daughter making them grandparents (and Scott and Shelley great-grandparents).
Shelley is the worship director. She has been an elementary and music teacher. She enjoys playing the piano and interior decorating.
